TAKANE Puzzle ball - inspired by the Montessori method.

The so-called puzzle ball consists of 12 elements, which are connected to form a shape similar to a ball. The ball supports sensory integration from the very first moment of the baby’s life thanks to its construction.

At about 4 to 5 months), when the baby reaches for the toy, ball promotes the development of small motions. It helps in learning of gripping, turning, squeezing, hand-to-hand transformation (it's easy to grab from any angle).
Of course, it is also great for biting, drooling and other crumpling.

When the baby starts to crawl the ball begins to act as a "real" ball which is great for first attempts to roll, throw and move. Its size, weight and panel design make the turl ball roll at to its optimum distance - far enough away to be motivated to move in its direction, but at the same time close enough so as not to discourage further play.
