Lego Saturn V Launch Umbilical Tower Instructions

The iconic Saturn V launch vehicle remains to this day the most powerful and capable rocket ever built. It was the vehicle that brought man to the moon and put Skylab in orbit and was a massive feat of science and engineering. Almost as iconic are the three the Mobile Launchers and the 380 foot tall Launch Umbilical Towers that serviced and prepared the Saturn V for launch. This 1:110 scale LUT model is a loving and highly detailed reproduction of these towers, designed specifically to display the official Lego Saturn V kit.
This instruction set is well over 1200 pages long and includes modifications for each individual manned Apollo mission, from Apollo 8 to Apollo 17, and even Skylab 1. Also included with the LUT are the instructions for the Apollo era Crawler Transporter and Launch Pad Display pedestal.

These instructions are the culmination of over two years of prototype builds, pre-release builds, and community feedback from countless intrepid builders. There is no better way to display your Lego Saturn V than with this excessively detailed LUT model.

This product is for the instructions and parts lists only and will be provided as PDF and .xml files. Due to the size limit of digital products on Etsy, the Purchaser will be given a link to a Google Drive that contains all instructions, Brick Link optimized parts lists, and options. This also allows for future additions or corrections if any come up. Update notifications are also available on request!

DISCLAIMERS: This is a very large, complex, and time-consuming project, and is recommended only for experienced Lego enthusiasts. The total part count for the LUT only is about 8,600, and with all options is approximately 14,000 depending on the version selected. Every reasonable effort has been made to ensure that the parts lists do not contain any rare or overly expensive parts. However, there is one part that is very difficult to find in large quantities (Part# 3633 in red) and it may take some time to gather this part. The model requires about 150 of these pieces. The model as shown also requires the modification of some parts, and the use of some glue is recommended (though not required) for structural stability. That being said, the seller assumes no responsibility for the non-availability or price of Lego pieces. Additionally, the seller has no official affiliation with Lego, NASA, or any entity mentioned in the instruction set.

Also note that some of the pictures shown here are of older versions of the LUT and may not reflect what the current revision looks like exactly. The sections of Launch Complex 39 that are visible in some of the pictures are not included, but will be available in Spring of 2021.

For any questions regarding the LUT, please send me an email at LegoJoe109 [!at] Gmail.com BEFORE you buy the instructions. The instructions come in a digital download form only.

A very limited number of pre-made kits for this design are available from Brick Moon. Please contact me if you are interested.
